This 24" x 30" acrylic painting on canvas, of a figure floating in the clouds holding a copper balloon. Inspired by the feeling of living in the world upside down versus right side up. Essentially feeling like you don't belong. If you don't look, think and or act like majority of society or those around you, you're made to feel like an outcast. In reality you should feel empowered by this. Nothing life changing ever comes from being the same.
The title of the painting was inspired by the song "All we do" by Oh Wonder.
Lyrics: "I've been upside down, I don't wanna be right way round, can't find paradise on the ground"
Style inspired by Georg Baselitz, known for his upside down figurative paintings.
